If I was a member of the rainbow community before 1960

What discrimination would you have faced?

I would have faced people disrespecting me, people making me feel unwanted and unwelcome because of my sexuality.

How would I have felt? Thought? Seen?

I would have felt scared because I didn’t want to have electro therapy, I was scared that I would be left out of major events because of my sexuality. I would of thought that I was not loved and didn’t have a place. I would of seen people getting arrested and out in jail for being part of the rainbow community.

How literature affected nationalism

Literature affects Nationalism by putting articles in newspapers that gave people either the wrong image or a picture that has been taken way out of context. The more people saw these articles the more they believed what it was saying. In the papers they put the idea in peoples head that war was a good thing and that you couldn’t escape it so you should be excited for it. For example, in 1905 the newspapers we saying that war with Germany was inevitable, in other words they were saying that you couldn’t escape it, that it was going to happen wether you liked it or not.

To What Extent Was Nationalism Used By The Nazi’s to Justify Mass Murder and Unspeakable Torture?

In 1918 Germans lost WW1, they felt really embarrassed and felt that they needed to blame someone for their loss, so they blamed religious groups, (mostly the Jews). While blaming other people for what happened. Adolf Hitler soon rose to power and started putting ideas in the Germans head that their country was the better than all the other countries, and that they deserved to rule the world, that is was the Jews fault that they lost. He used Nationalism to change their mindset to make them think that killing and torturing the Jews was appropriate.
